3.) Epoxy
4.) Metallics
And any non-standard powders can be obtained
We specialise in offering a quick turn around and a high quality finish at competitive rates. All work is guaranteed.
With our extensive facilities we are able to accommodate most sizes of items. The dimensions of our three powder coating lines oven are our only restriction -
Line 1 - Max item size: 6000mm x 3000mm x 3000m
Line 2 - Max item size: 4500mm x 1900m x 3500m
Line 3 - Max item size: 7500mm x 1900m x 3000m
The range of colours available is virtually unlimited, and we specialise in the powder coating of mild steel, stainless steel and aluminium.

The benefits of powder coating for consumers are simple: powder coating will make your purchase look better and last longer – not to mention its reduced environmental footprint!
To get the best powder coating results, the surface to be coated must be clean. Depending on the quality and type of metal, there are different levels of cleaning and pre-treatment for powder coating to consider.
Pre-Treatment
1.) Mild Steel
Washing
Hot Pressure washing with a chemical specifically formulated for the soils specific to the fabricating process is the most effective ways of cleaning the metal prior to shot blasting. Before shot blasting we ensure steel is cleaned from grease, oil and other surface contaminants.
Blasting
Blasting cleans the metal and creates a lightly textured profile that gives a good key for the paint to adhere. Blasting will remove mill scale, rust and most contaminants. It does not matter how good the paint is, applying it to dirty metal will result in the paint coating failing in the field. Protx grit blasts all steel to SA2.5 which provides an excellent surface for powder application ensuring high quality and durable finish.
Chemical Treatment
Clean metal by itself can be immediately powder coated but that will not give you superior performance and weathering characteristics. A good chemical pretreatment allows the powder coating to better bond physically to the metal, withstand exterior weathering. Protx have a range of chemical pretreatments available to suit various applications.
2.) Aluminium and Stainless Steel
Aluminium and Stainless Steel goes through a multi-stage cleaning process at Protx before being chemically etched and pretreated with non-phosphate pretreatment chemical that offers excellent weathering characteristics
